Making Quilts

I used to think that quilt making was for old women. I know - h0rrible idea! Of course, I guess a lot of people would think that I am an old woman. :) Oh, well!

Anyway, I have had so much fun since I discovered quilt making. It is an ever-evolving thing with me.

I just like everything about it, and the fact that every quilt I've made has been totally different from every other one just adds to the charm.

To sit before my window working and look up to see the flowers and the birds and the chickens, to hear the birds singing outside the window are all so peaceful to me. I pray a lot as I quilt. Do you do that while you're working at what pleases you? To me, that just adds an extra dimension to the gift of the quilt when I give it.
Hope your day is filled with things that please you!
Hugs and kisses,

I love the view from your sewing machine! It looks so peaceful! It;s a good idea to pray, I usually just enjoy the fabrics and the colors and think that will be pretty and you are right if it's a gift i think how much they will love it!

Happy sewing!

That is a lovely view to have while sewing. My table faces a window, too, but it's often night time when I get any chance to sew. You know, when the baby has gone to sleep and I have a few precious hours.

Have a great day!

Elaine you have a great view from your sewing machine and your garden always looks so pretty. Love those yellow fabrics you are working on.

What a heart-felt post--- Reminds me that quilting is the "journey" not the end result... Thanks-- Have a great week.

I'm starting to embrace the term "old woman". What the heck. The alternative is "dead woman"!
