Chloe Does NOT Like Being Held

No, she doesn't.

My daughter-in-law told me that it's because she is a calico, that they are "hands off" cats.

I had never heard of that before, but it's surely true of Miss Chloe.

She's a funny little girl. She likes being right where we are all the time, preferably underfoot. Just don't touch her. Or at least, only touch her when she permits. :)

By the way, tomorrow, September 19th is Talk Like a Pirate Day. There, I've done my public service for the day. Aaaargh!
The image above is at this page. And it is in the public domain so help yourself.

Enjoy your weekend!!!!
Hugs and kisses,

Maybe she will warm up to being touched one day. My dogs are always craving attention and loved to snuggle and be touched. Melody likes to pet them and tried to kiss them a few times.

Aaw that's sad. My calico loves being held. Maybe just because she knows she is safe from her brother for a few minutes. Good luck i'm sure she will warm up to you.

well Chloe is just like our Maudie then, who is a black and white cat and I was told they don't like a lot of contact either, unless on their terms of course. On the other hand my lovely Hugo, a Birman boy just purrs like mad when I hold and cuddle him ;o) hugs Nettie x

I don't know why I love tortoiseshell kitties so much but I do. They all hate me. I have read where they are really not people cats but some people say they are anyway. Well not to me but I still love them.

Elaine,
Miss Chloe is such a beautiful calico cat. I loved the photos. Thank you for visiting my blog. Have a wonderful week!

Oh those pictures are so funny Elaine! Our black cat Topsy has exactly the same temperament and my hubby is so disappointed. He chose her, you see, and he was expecting a loving lap cat like our previous three cats. But not this one!! Biting and scratching is the order of the day if we pick her up when she does NOT want to be picked up!! (I found you on Kathleen's blog)
