My Little Boy

My little boy had a birthday yesterday.  He is now 41 years old.  Unbelievable.  I can hardly believe I'M 41 years old!  Anyway, I wanted to make a special quilt for him.  He would not give me any quidelines, so I just did what I wanted. :)

I'm happy with it.  I just hope he is.  We're having some birthday cake and ice cream here later today, and I'll find out then.

I included some of his favorite things - the sea and fishing and boats.

Lighthouses, and how do you like those guitars?  My son plays in a band when he's not working at his grown-up job.

Dad made this shark-y coat rack for him.  I think it's AWESOME!!!  I know  he'll like it.

Family is so important to me.  Maybe because I did not have the greatest childhood in the world, I really wanted our children to have a homelife they would look back on with pleasure.  Home, to me, seems to be the place in the world where you should always feel safe and loved.

I hope you're feeling that way right now!

Hugs and kisses,

Edited to add:  He loved the quilt and the coat rack!

Wonderful gifts! I love the quilt -- I was looking at it trying to figure out if there was some pattern to the way you laid out the blocks -- it looks fabulous. And that coat rack is very cool too!
