I'll Think About That Tomorrow

Do you ever have those days where there are just way too many things to think about that you'd really rather not think about?  This has been one of those days for me.  For one thing I went to a funeral this morning for a friend.  His wife is our friend, too.  She's strong, and she's not sad and broken-hearted.  She knows he's in heaven.  But we'll miss him.  I don't want to think about it.

Our daughter is home and recovering, but she still has issues (many of them) to deal with.  I don't want to think about it.

My mother is still upset with me because I did not let my brother get away with treating me really badly.  I don't want to think about it.

So, like Scarlett O'Hara in Gone with the Wind, I don't think about it.  I'll think about it tomorrow.

Maybe.

For today, I'll think about things that make me happy, things that bring me joy.  I'll think on the good things.  After all, tomorrow is another day.

Philippians 4:8  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

I hope you have only good and pleasant things to think on!

Hugs and kisses,
                                                    Elaine

Good for you Elaine! I think we all need to put some of those things on the back burner for awhile. And then we know when it's time. Have a Happy Thoughts Day!

Some times things resolve themselves better if we push them away for a little bit. Answers will come out of the blue as you are doing other things.

Elaine,
I know how you feel. Sometimes things just overwhelm us. It's best to just "think about them tomorrow." Turn it over to the Lord. All things work together for the good to those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose.
I'm sorry your friend's husband passed away. I hope your daughter gets well soon. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Well, Elaine, I fully agree with you! But, you forgot to say:
"Fiddle-de-dee!" I do have most of the lines from "Gone With the Wind"
memorized. Scarlett was not nice all the time, but she survived. Her "pluck"(is that a chicken phrase?)
was admirable. And, her siblings did not understand her; but Rhett knew her heart (well, almost always)!
Fiddle-de-dee, I think my to do list
grew! love you, Sue

Elaine I hope the postie brings you something really nice this coming week, and then you can say " fiddley dee " I do care but you can't make me sad because the He who is in Me is greater than the he in the world. Fiddley Dee.
