Getting There

I finished the top last night and got the first little border sewn on.  I'm beginning to feel that I might actually finish it in time.   There's still lots to do on the backing, but I think I can.  I think I can.  I think I can.

I saw something new today.  Two robins were in the fig tree eating ripe figs.  By the time I went inside and got the camera they had flown, but this mocking bird was there for his turn.

Miss Birdy's rose is doing so well in the planter.  I'm just thankful those chickens did not decide to tear these plants out!

On my way back inside I saw this little fellow.  I do so love my little corner of the world.  There is always something to see and enjoy.

Hope you're seeing lots of fun stuff where you are.

Hugs and kisses,

I love the bird shot through the tree. Now that last critter isn't anything I would want to see around here. I guess you get used to them when you see them all the time.

Figs! My husband's grandmother used to have fig trees and she taught me how to make the most delicious fig/strawberry jelly. I just not realize,..........I need to plant a fig tree out here. LOL. Love the pretty quilt top. You are quite the quilter! Have a wonderful weekend ahead!

I totally think you can, too! You can do anything. This quilt is spectacular by the way. A real winner!!! Love seeing the fig tree inhabitants. I'm nursing one in a pot this summer and will be planting in the fall. Looking forward to the treats. :)
