Fabric Therapy

On Saturday Mr. Muddling and I went to pick up my new glasses.  I'm not too crazy about the effects of aging on my eyes.  That's got to stop!

Anyway, after picking up my glasses, we took a little drive and I spied a quilt shop I'd never visited before.  So after having my Sweetie turn around and go back......I found some very pretty fabrics.  I have plans to make more kids quilts, so I picked up these two that were on sale.  Not the greatest picture.

I had every intention of taking my camera with me, but I forgot it.  Bummer!

At least I could take pictures of the fabric after we got home.  LOL.  These two were the reason I wanted to go in and look.  I was on the hunt for some border fabric for the Strip Twist below.  I think I will use both of these.  Maybe.

Should I tell you?  Yes, I should.  Quilt Taffy is having a little sale on ebay.  I did.  Yes, I did.  More therapy.

I got so mad at my small design wall that I made it grow a little longer.  Unfortunately it cannot get any wider.  No wall space available.  At least I can see a little more with the added length.  I have these four long rows sewn together.  Two more to go and then I'll put it all together and decide about the borders.  Moving right along.

By the way, I think Bill really liked his quilt.  He gave me a mighty sweet smile.

Another by the way is that Ray the rooster apparently has a serious death wish.  He flew at me again today.  Mercy!

Hope everything is behaving itself where you are!

Hugs and kisses,

Your 'Strip Twist' is looking good.
Therapy of the retail kind is always good, especially when it involves fabric.

You've reminded me with this post that it's time for my annual eye exam. I hate what aging has done to my once-perfect sharp vision. Now I rely on my bifocals. Well, I'm thankful that I have them and that I can still see. Could be worse, right. Happy Tuesday :)

Pretty quilt! So glad that Bill liked his quilt. Roosters..........no matter how much I get after my flogging rooster, he still comes back for more. Every time I turn my back on him........he is quietly sneeking up on me. SIGH. blessings,Kathleen

I'm not very happy about this aging malarky on my eyes either. I have to have my reading for anything close up such as cooking, cleaning or just looking at things.

Like Connie, you've reminded me that I need an eye exam. I need new glasses too. That fabric is so beautiful. I'm always on the look out for new stores to buy fabric. I like just going in and gazing at it, of course I never come away empty handed.. Susie

Elaine, it's me, your friend Susan...LOL! I had to go back ALL the way to Sept. 10th catch up. Praise the Lord you got rain, what's up with Ray attacking you?!, and girlfriend, look at all those quilts you've made, holy cow, and cordial, too. I've missed you but I'm back now.

A little retail therapy is necessary sometimes. :-) Loving the new quilt design.
