Evolution

I'm making a baby quilt for a baby due in April.  I started off with the blocks on the right.  But then, I thought maybe I should add in some baby blue.  I thought I might turn those squares into snowball blocks.

Then I thought I might turn them all into square-in-a-square on point.  But I did not have quite enough of the blue fabric.  Bummer.

This is where I am now, alternating the square-in-a-square blocks with 6-inch squares.  I have all the vertical rows sewn.  Maybe tomorrow I can get the horizontal rows sewn together and add some borders.  We'll see.

I've been a bit remiss in my posting.  (And I've heard about it.  LOL)  I guess I've just been a little sad.  My wild friend Claude (the feral cat who took up residence in the back yard) has gone missing.  I haven't seen him in a week.  I'm concerned.

Hope all is going well with you.

Hugs and kisses,

I think the end result with the baby quilt looks good. It's amazing what you can come up with when fabric supplies are limited. Well done.
I am sorry to hear about Claude. I hope you have some news soon.

The new quilt layout looks great - you always do such a great job with your scraps. I'm sad about Claude too. I hope he comes back - mayb he's just enjoying a vacation on the beach and he'll be back soon!

Oh no. Claude is missing? Friend. I'm sending prayers but I am here to bring forth the reminder that our friends… they wander and sometimes it takes a while for them to return. Don't lose hope or faith my friend. Don't lose that. (____) <--- that's a little pocket of it.

Oh, I hope you see Claude soon!
We are having -32 F here today...and that doesn't include windchill! So, at least Claude isn't freezing!

Here in Victoria all cats have to registered and are not allowed to roam on another's property, dogs included. Around here, We have a cat that wandered in a couple months ago and stays mostly across the street. I am amazed he hasn't be spotted by coyote. Claude will be back.
