Colorwash Wall Hanging

The colorwash is complete and hanging in the den.  I love it.  I know it's imperfect.  I can see every flaw and every mistake I made and I just don't care.  I still love it.

Doesn't it just look happy there?  Thank you Wanda for your generosity of spirit in all the advice and in selling that wonderful kit.  I'm sorry I wasn't a better pupil.  But I still love it.

There are lots of star blocks laid out and ready to sew together.

And there in the background you can see that I exchanged the purple sashing strips for red.  Yep, I like it better!

I'm so happy with this colorwash.  I encourage you to give it a try if you haven't already.  It's just fun.

Hope you have a really happy-making project in the works, too!

Hugs and kisses,

I think you should be happy with the colourwash. It looks great.
You are the only one to see the mistakes - and aren't they just really personal touches, anyway?
Great to see the stars growing.

I don't see any mistakes, I see an original design! Everyone's colorwash will turn out different even if they all use the same fabrics. You did a great job and you will only love it more each day.

There are no flaws. It's absolutely stunning!!! I love it so much. Do you have any tips on piecing a colorwash quilt? I have been wanting to pull out all my fabric and start sewing something.

I love your wallhanging so much I just had to break my blogging silence to tell you. Your quilting is amazing! Shades of purple are a favorite of my girls, so that gorgeous string quilt has our attention. Trying to get back into blogging.
