In Case You Wondered

Mr. Muddling and I took a little trip last week.  We drove up to Branson, Missouri, for a prayer conference.  If ever our country needed prayer this is the time!

This was our view from the balcony in the little motel where we stayed.  We had a chance to visit with some friends there that we haven't seen in a while, and just enjoyed the time away.

We are back now, but I'll share a few of the scenes along our way home.

This is such a beautiful land.  The trees were just starting to change colors.

This was a quarry in Arkansas.  Really majestic, in its way.

The trip was good, but it's even better to be back home.  Isn't that funny?  I always feel that way.  I love to go, but I love even more to come back home.  (And Bruno and Chloe were SO glad to see us!)

Our younger daughter, Mary, lives in New York State, outside Schenectady.  They are already feeling the effects of Hurricane Sandy.  It looks to be a bad situation for a lot of the upper east coast.

Our country has veered so far off the path envisaged by the Founding Fathers, and some of the things perpetrated by our national leaders have brought judgement upon our nation.  I know that's not talked about much, but it's still the truth.  God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, (and of us) is not mocked.  His Word is very specific about right and wrong.  As I said earlier in this post, it's a time to pray.  I know a lot of you don't believe as I do, but I urge you to find out God's opinion.  He took the time to have it written down in His Word - the Bible.

You do still love me, don't you?  I love you!

Hugs and kisses,

Now to catch up on my blog reading.

I like that you stand up for what you believe. And bearing testimony is nothing to hide. Good for you. I love to come home after a trip. My bed feels so good. Your pictures are lovely. Especially that balcony pic. Missouri is a pretty state.

My Mom and I both read your blog regularly and I have always said that of all of the people we "know", your life, interests, and situation seem to come the closest to mine. It pleases me to no end to know that we are so very like-minded even on the things that TRULY COUNT! There has been much prayer (and fasting) at our house for our country -- both spiritually and temporally. You are not alone!

Branson sure is beautiful country. I'm so glad you and your husband were able to got for a prayer conference.
I sure hope and pray Mary will stay safe. I'm keeping the folks in my prayers who are in the path of Superstorm Sandy. I hope everyone will be safe.
