There's a Full Grown Man

behind this quilt.  Sometimes it's hard to think of a title for a post, can you tell?

I got the fabric ordered for the binding on Thursday, and last night I got the binding sewn on.

So, YES, we have a finish!  This is another quilt that is going to a different couple who were such a blessing to us recently.  I'm glad to have both of these quilts done and they will be delivered next week.  Can't wait to see their reactions.  I think they'll be surprised, and I'm pretty sure they'll like their quilts.

Here's the back, which is mostly a 1930's reproduction print with that row of blocks that I foolishly trimmed a little too much to fit in with the others.  They look nice on the back, though, don't they?  I do love a good save!

I think this will be the final layout for this one.  I made more blocks and did some rearranging.  I got three of the blocks sewn together last night.  I love to watch quilts grow and develop, don't you?

A friend came over last night and used my quilt frame/machine to quilt a beautiful quilt she had made for her granddaughter.  I am so impressed with her!  This is only her third quilt and she did such a good job.

I hope you're having a wonderful weekend and lots of fun!

Hugs and kisses,

The pinwheel quilt is very pretty. You did a great job getting the pieced row straight and parallel to the edge of the quilt. I'm not sure I could get it that straight.

It's lovely to see the pinwheels completed. Great way to use those pesky wrong sized blocks, too. The back looks great.
Looking forward to seeing the new blocks together.

You are nice to let your friend use your machine. The couple will love your quilt. It is fantastic. And the new quilt will be too.

I know when I come to your blog I am going to see fantastic quilts and you didn't disappoint me. WOW! and that's for all of them (past many posts that I've caught up on). Hope you get those autumn temps, we are getting a bit cooler here and I'm loving it.

Spool blocks. Long arm quilter looks like a pro!
