106? Really?

Yesterday, Saturday, that is what the temperature was here in Houston.

That is too hot.  I had the sprinker going into the chicken yard just to give them some relief.  Have you ever seen a chicken pant?  Not pretty.

Everything is surviving pretty well out there so far.  I'm thankful we're not having water rationing.

It's been more normal today - only 98!  I can't even rememer when the temps got to 106 here.  Not saying they haven't.  I just can't remember it, and I've lived here since 1968.

Like any sensible person, I've been spending most of my time inside. I'm playing now with some fabric prints of the Peanuts gang.  I think this might make some child really happy.

I do hope your weekend is going well!

Hugs and kisses,

That's HOT! Unfortunately we tend to get these sort of temps on a regular basis each Summer. Very pleased at those times to ave air con.
I can imagine the chickens really appreciated the water.

Oh my goodness, that is HOT! Thank goodness your chickens got some relief from the sprinkler.

You're right - the best place to be when it's that hot is in the sewing room! ha!

Yikes! You need to come North LOL. It's been rainy here all week -- and chilly for summer -- only 61 our there this morning. I hope this doesn't mean your July and August will be unbearable!

Elaine, I know it is hot and so humid. I have to water my pot plants every morning and evening.

My mother in law is there visiting family in Sugarland. She says it's is painfully hot. My favorite picture is that of your pups watching the land from the air conditioning-- smart guys.
