Loss of Motivation

I have no possible excuse, I just lost interest in the Grand Illusion. It is finished to the first border. I still have to piece the outer border, and then I will have to add at least one more border for it to be as big as I want it to be for our bed.

I know I will get back to it, I like it. I guess I just got tired of looking at it.

So, I started playing around with some 2 1/2" squares and they turned into nine-patches.

Those started playing around with some 6 1/2" half square triangles and this is what has happened.

It is good to have projects, isn't it?  I am thankful that there is always something interesting to keep me busy!

I hope you're having a good week and finding plenty to occupy yourself. We've had a cold rainy day today, but it should be nicer tomorrow.

Hugs and kisses,

Love what you are doing with your scrappy 2.5" squares.
You got further along with the Grand Illusion Mystery Quilt than I did.

One of the things I love about quilting is that there are so many things to keep us busy ... so many fabric and color choices, so many block and pattern choices, so many setting choices, so many technique choices. I'm glad you've found something to keep you busy while Grand Illusions got moved to the back burner. ;-)

Love it. I love playing around with nine patches. When I get like that and have to walk away for a while. Hugs and much love, xo

I should have cheered louder!! Although I do understand that sometimes we need a break and of course there are always other distractions. The best part is you know you ca always come back to it.
And I do like the way your squares and HSTs turned into that lovely picture on your design wall!

Oooh, this looks like another great quilt in the making Elaine! Sometimes we have to step back from long projects until we find the love again!
