Not Much Happening

This little one has been quilted for almost two weeks. I still haven't made a label or chosen fabric for binding.

There are still pretties to be seen outside.

And our pets still lead a good life.

I've made some star blocks for a quilt I'm making for Mr. Muddling's sister. She loves purple. I was just going to sew the blocks edge to edge, but then.......

I tried adding some sashing and I think I like it better. What do you think?

And just so you know, we use our quilts around here. With three dogs and two cats, we try to keep as much covered as we can! Quilts are much more washable than upholstery.

When I woke up this morning I was so pleasantly surprised to find real Autumn weather - cool air and brilliant blue skies. It's hot again now, but it was nice while it lasted. It will be cool again tonight. Hoorah!

As I said, not much happening here, but that's all right - more time to sew and play in the stash.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs and kisses,

Lucky furry and winged family members. I love a home full of home made quilts.
Love the stars and agree the sashing looks best.

I know it is hard to sew the stars edge to edge because of the bulk at the points. I like it with the sashing and it will make the assembly so much easier.

Love the way you us your quilts. I tend to do the same and yours are so beautiful everyone needs to see them. I'm glad you're getting cool nights. We're having alot of rain this week and more on the way. But not as much as those on the East Coast. It's so sad.. Hugs and Blessings,

Lovely first photo with the shadows across your beautiful quilt.
Love the stars, too. It is really interesting what a difference the sashing can make. I agree that it works well with the stars.

I agree ... the sashing really shows off the stars. I hope your cool weather sticks around for a while.

Haha -- I can just imagine how much you must use your quilts with all those cute little animals -- we only have two cats and the cat hair is enough to drive me over the edge! I love the quilting in your first picture -- so pretty Elaine. And I'm definitely a sashing girl -- those star blocks look great with a stripey sashing!
