Sunday in Muddle-Land

As you can see, some of us have literally worn ourselves out from all the hard work.  Or maybe Bruno and Lady just got tired from watching me work.

You can see the colorwash I've been working on on the design wall behind them.

I've since moved it to a different design wall and put it in the dining room where I have room to back up far enough to get the "big picture".  This is it after lots of re-do's.  I think I'm finished, but odds are good that I'll go back and fiddle with it some more.  It's hard to leave it alone.  I wanted to make a much bigger one this time around, and it is a little bigger, but not much.  It's a very time-consuming project - lots of cutting, lots of arranging, lots of re-arranging.  Looking at the picture now, I can already see some pieces that need to be moved.  See, I told you!

I have this Boxy Stars, a free pattern from Bonnie Hunter on the design wall in the sewing room now.  Mr. Muddling's co-worker has a granddaughter due soon and the daughter wanted pink and purple.  I'm still working on this one.

I haven't forgotten the Boxed Squares I started cutting for last week.  I just got sidetracked.  What can I say?

Isn't it good that we can work on the things that interest us?  I am especially fortunate to have a big enough fabric stash to indulge in several quilts at once.  I like that!

I hope you are indulging in things that please you, too!

Hugs and kisses,

The color variations are so pretty on your design wall. Looking quite nice! My indulgences lately have been knitting although I'm feeling the urge to once again begin quilt piecing. Soon, probably, although not immediately. Have a few things to do first.

As always Elaine, you have irons in the fire! Very pretty ones at that!

I do the same thing on my colorwash pieces, I decide I'm done and then I see a piece that needs to be moved. Moving one usually means moving several. At some point you just have to say done!

I swear I commented already. Well, better late than never, I guess.

I love that colorwash quilt. I can't wait to see it finished.

I wish I had a design wall ... I have about 1/3 of our third bedroom, so there's barely enough room for my cutting table and sewing machine. I just use my "design floor". ;-)

I love the pattern for Boxed Squares. The color combinations of your quilts are so pretty. I love the pink colors, but both are really pretty. You are so talented. Looks like the animals are taking a great break resting.
