Exciting Times

Isn't it exciting to see all new Spring growth! We had a very mild Winter here, so lots of plants survived. Very excited about that! We have new tomato plants growing in the garden and in some grow bags at the side of the house. And there are figs growing on the tree. On the lower right are some orchids that have rebloomed for me. Thank you. And amaryllis I picked from the yard.

I made some pimiento cheese the other day and Mr. Muddling and I had a sandwich for lunch. This is a reminder to me of childhood. Our mother made those same sandwiches for us, but with white bread.

And this is Buddy's attempt to hypnotize me into giving him at least some  of that sandwich! He makes me laugh all the time.

And....... believe it or not, I finished a quilt top! I talked about the beginnings of it here. I've altered the pattern a bit, both deliberately and accidentally, but I think it turned out pretty well. We'll see how long it takes me to get it quilted. No promises.

Another page from my Mary Engelbreit daily calendar, and so true. Friends ARE the icing on the cake of life! Thank you for being icing for me. Even if we never see each other in the flesh, I still count you friends and I appreciate you!

It is a beautiful, very warm day here in Houston, Texas. I hope you're having a wonderful day in your world!

Hugs and kisses,

Your garden looks so good. I figured you'd have plenty of veggies before long since it's been a mild winter. Here in our neck of the woods the dogwoods are just now putting forth a few blooms. More cold is on the way next week. it has been a strange winter and spring for sure. Love the quilt and I knew you'd be back at it soon as you could. Love your inspiration and praying continue for you. Blessings and much Love.

You have us beat with blooms but I have some healthy starts to my spring plants even here in IL where winter really didn't want to give in to spring. I hope your knee is responding well to exercises and therapy.

Looks like your garden is loving the conditions at the moment. Lovely to see all the blooms.
And well done with the quilt top. That is a wonderful achievement.
Of course Buddy wants to share lunch. They never miss a trick when it comes to food.

Another quilt-beauty Elaine. Do I spy bella black in that quilt LOL??? Your garden is looking beautiful -- we're just starting to leaf out up here which seems late to me this year - it's almost May!

Look at those beautiful, happy chickens. Flowers and tomato plants look great. I have on lone tomato plant with two leaves so far. Bought more seeds Last night. On a positive note, my short row of potatoes are looks good!
Beautiful quilt. Border print is perfect.
Pimento sandwich reminds me of my childhood, too. Always on white bread. lol. I only buy brown bread now. Taste and texture is so much better.
Have a good week
