Enjoying the Day

This balmy spring weather has had me out in the yard, playing in the dirt.

I love to see things start their growing and blooming.

Can you see my sewing machine through the
window?

This is looking into my sewing room. I enjoy watching
the birds who visit the feeder and water outside my
window, and it's really nice to have the windows open
right now and listen to their beautiful songs.

I ordered some native plum bushes last year and they seem
to be doing well. We had a lot of these when I was a child and they are a great childhood memory. I only hope these will bear many plums and that they will be as good as those
I remember!

Sweet little violets. These come up and multiply every
year.

The corn has poked its head up in the garden, along with some onions, and tomato plants are starting to settle in as well.

Star jasmine growing in an old bird cage.
The fragrance of this one is heavenly!

This time of year is one of the few times that it's actually pleasant here just to sit outside and enjoy the new growth. (Mosquitos have not yet come out in force to feast on us, and it's not hot yet either.)
Hope you're having a good today and doing something you enjoy!
Hugs and kisses,

I can count on you Elaine to satisfy my need for outdoor beauty; it is such a drab landscape around here. I do love jasmine. I've grown it in a large container but it didn't overwinter well in the garage and I lost it. Love the picture looking into your sewing room (we're usually looking out).

How can you not be happy looking out onto that wonderful kaleidiscope of colour. Our corn has just finished, isn't it great to grow your own.

It's so fun to see your yard coming alive. Everything is still in winter slumber up here!

What a pretty view you have from your sewing room. You are a great gardener and everything is so full of color...and spring just started.
