Just for Me

I got busy last night and picked out a background piece of fabric for the pretty Christmas stitchery Margaret made for me.

The I backed the part of it that would show through the mat with batting and another piece of fabric.  Then I quilted the background with a small meandering stitch.  Next, I sewed the stitchery to the quilted fabric with a machine blanket stitch.

Now it is framed, hanging on the wall in the dining room.  So far this is absolutely the only Christmas decorating I have done.  Pitiful, I know.  I'm just not feeling it yet.  And I'm getting complaints from daughter Ru about the lack of said Christmas decorating.  I'm thinking that looking at this happy picture will get me going.

On another note, I know I haven't written much about Chloe lately.  She is still ruling and reigning here.  Just a little while ago I caught her trying to shred the curtains in the dining room to get into the sunshine coming through the window.  So, being the enabler I am, I put a chair inside the curtain for her.

She wants to be alone.

Hope your day is going great.

Hugs and kisses,

Very pretty indeed.
My boxes are out, must get on with unpacking them and decorating the house. Thanks for the nudge.

The stitchery came from Joy Coey at Joypatch blogspot. Joy is one of the Under the Gumtrees fabulous people who give patterns away for Christmas This was from last year I still have the patterns .

Hahaha -- you're a good Kitty Mom. Great treatment for your little stitchery! I'm not feeling the decorating yet and I'm starting to get nervous. I think this must happen every year -- probably 'cause so many bloggers decorate early. It will happen sometime!

It's very pretty and I understand about not getting into decorating yet, I was happy my sister put up all of Mom's before I got here!

What a beautiful creation. You are so talented and it's so lovely for Christmas. Sounds like Chloe is like my black lab, Pepper. He tears up his bed just to get attention. Animals are so much like children. They love all that attention.

Btw, I'll be mailing your prize on Monday. Just in time for you to gift it or keep it for yourself.
