And So It Grows

I sewed strips on two sides of each of the snowball blocks last night.

It always makes me happy to see a pile of blocks ready to put together.

And here they are up on the design wall.  There may be some shifting around, but it looks pretty good to me right now.  Maybe I can get them all put together later today.

I gotta say, I never would have thought to use that fabric for sashing but it looks fantastic! I really love this!

You have a great eye for fabrics. That crazy sashing fabric really makes the blocks pop. Hope you were aiming for fun cuz this one is fun ;-)

I think I need to hire you to help me with fabric shopping. I am paralyzed when I see all the fabrics ... and end up with tried-and-true color choices. Not that there's anything wrong with them, but I long to be able to pull fabrics together and end up with spectacular quilts like you do -- and this snowball quilt is a perfect example! It's gorgeous ... and like Wonky Girl, said, this quilt just says FUN!

What a great way to use those fabrics you hate to CUT. I like the scrappy Snowball's too.
