Two New Baby Quilts and Two Deliveries

First of all, please allow me to apologize for my slothfulness in posting. No excuse whatsoever, just lazy about getting it done!
I have finished two little rail fence baby/child quilts. They will also go to the USO lounge at our local airport. The center volunteer leader tells us that the parents like to put a quilt on the floor for their little ones to play on safely.

Both of these are colorful and both have some interesting to children prints in them. I also think those rails might make pretty good car tracks! I hope they enjoy them.

This pretty purple on that I posted about here was delivered to the lovely lady it was made for this morning at church. She loved it and was so touched that I had made it for her.

This one, posted here, I had fond hopes of keeping, but today it went to live with our sister in law, and it was the right thing to do.

I guess I'll just have to try again. I liked this one so much, I may just duplicate it somewhat. We'll see!

Lots of pretty things going on around here, inside and out. Can you believe that purple orchid is still in glorious bloom? I posted a picture of it last month when the first bloom opened.   It is a beautiful world we've been given, even with the bad things that happen. I'm thankful.

I recently purchased the Winding Ways die for my Go! Cutter. I've cut a number of the block components and have started sewing them together. They really go together easily (as long as I'm reasonably awake, at least!).

I have been peeking in to see what some of you have been doing. You continually inspire me! Thank you for being faithful to blog about your makings!

Hugs and kisses,

Your quilts are beautiful, Elaine. Especially the hour glass quilt. I'm sure each one will bring much warmth and comfort. One never know the impact of a gifted homemade quilt for charity, family or friends. Always hopeful they are just what the person or young one needs at that time of their lives.
I'm not posting as often as I once did, but I try to post pictures of all the quilts I make on my blog because it is my journal. Since most of my quilts are given away, a picture is nice.
I hope you have a nice, quilt filled week, dear.

Great to see all your quilts. I hadn't thought of the idea of needing smaller quilts but once you explained it, that made a lot of sense. The two smaller quilts do look delightful and I am sure they will be enjoyed.
I do hope you can replicate the lovely quilt you gave away. It would be so nice for you to have one, too.
Your plants look like they are all doing very well.
And it will be interesting to see how your winding ways quilt grows. Love what you have done with the blocks so far.

No need to apologize for me -- you're MUCH better about posting than I am LOL! Love Love those sweet quilts Elaine -- especially the red one that you wanted to keep -- you should definitely make one for yourself!

Oh I love those quilts and all of your beautiful colors. I've made several of the Rail Fence Pattern before. I put one up in a post a while back. Don't worry about the blogging business. I'm behind also and can't get caught up on anything. I hope you have a nice Easter weekend. xo
