A Pink Quilt

First of all I have to tell you that I could not make the quilts I do without Buddy's expert advice. I cannot even type that with a straight face. I love him dearly, but mostly,  he sleeps while I work!

Nevertheless, between the two of us, we got this quilt finished last night. I just had it in my heart to make a pink quilt, and so I did. I think it may just live here.

I used the same fabric on the back as in the alternate blocks on the front. The binding is the same. When I say a pink quilt, I mean a pink quilt.

And I like it!

Especially after a run through the washer and dryer to get all soft and crinkly and snuggly!

We have had some really beautiful weather here. And some new flowers have shown up at the hardware store in our neighborhood. Mr. Muddling brought home some pretty ones the other day and most have now been potted. He also spray painted this red pot for me. Isn't it bright and cheerful! My friend Sandy gave me those gorgeous orange kalanchoes. They are much brighter and more colorful than the picture shows. I am enjoying looking at them in our den.

I hope you've had a wonderful week. There's another one ahead for us. At least that is what I choose to believe. It's easier if you don't watch or listen to the news!

Hugs and kisses,
Elaine

It must be something in the air...I have been wanting to make a pink quilt too. I have to decide on a pattern today and start cutting tomorrow. And I want to make a yellow quilt after that...along with all of the rest on my mental list.

Lovely. Funny how the mood just hits sometimes to make you want to make something a particular way.
Pink is perfect in your quilt. I like the way it works with all the scrappy blocks.
Your flowers are lovely, too.

Hello, I have been thinking of you these past days. Have you been going through the power outage as well? It has been a frustrating time for us. I agree that your washed and dried quilt looks so wonderful!
I love your supervisor. LOL
I was worried about my plumeria that you sent me. It has been doing well, but with the frigid weather approaching I decided to bring it inside of the house.
I am so glad I did, it would have perished in the greenhouse during the power outage. It is green and happy on a shelf by the fireplace.
Hope this finds that you have power and water and doing well.

PINK!!! As you know, I'm quite partial to pink -- I LOVE it -- I'm glad you're keeping it. I hope you've been ok through all the cold weather you've been having and that you're staying warm!
