Grrrrr!!!

Herein is a gentle reminder to check the back of your work as you are merrily quilting along.

I did not check. I just quilted. And quilted.

It looked fine on the side I could see and I was smokin'!

Today, I'm taking out all that stitching. Not my favorite thing to do in the world. Oh, well. Lesson learned. Again.

On a totally unrelated note, there are still lots of good things in the world to see.

And a lot of them are in my very own back yard.

Hope your day is going beautifully!

Hugs and kisses,

Ooohhh Nooooo. I HATE it when that happens! On the upside, that's a lot easier to rip out than normal stitches. ;-)

It's called "frogging" as in "rip it, rip it" - and agreed to the post above, bad tension is easier to undo than good tension - it's still no fun so feelin' your pain at least you have beautiful distractions in the backyard that you can glance up and look at if you decide to frog outside!

OK-- talk to me... this has happened to me as well. Was there a bobbin thread issue or was the fabric too tight and the needle and threads pulled... I'm just trying to figure out what causes this blasted problem... I'd appreciate the advice...

Oh no, Elaine. This has happened to me a few time. I always try to run my fingers on the back of the quilt...you can feel when the tension is off. Good luck! I hate to "unsew".

Elaine,
Wow I hate it when I have to take stiches out. That's a big job.

I love the photos of your yard. The flowers are really pretty.

Have a great weekend.

Oh Elaine. Have I done that before!! Oh my. Thats why I say my seam ripper is my friend. If it were my foe it would only make it worse.

Oh my! That is not good at all. I feel so bad that wasted all that hard work. That happens on my machine a lot so I always check. But then again, I have a very basic inexpensive machine, so I almost expect to happen. :-)

But when I saw your pictures, I thought it looked like a lovely stitch pattern. Almost like embroidery.
